I practice therapy because I believe I have a calling to walk with people into fullness of life, which to me equals psychological, emotional and spiritual healing and wholeness.
My Style
Each client is unique and presents unique needs, so no two therapy sessions look exactly alike. After discussing your current difficulties and goals for therapy I will do my best to tailor my therapeutic style to best help you.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, honest, challenging, and direct with solid boundaries and empathy. I reflect, assist, encourage, and point out incongruent patterns around actions and words.
In general I come from an object relations perspective and practice an emotion / emotionally-focused therapy for both individuals and couples. In short this theory believes negative emotions contribute to and often control our thought process and sense of self. Through therapy clients are able to reprocess and replace existing negative emotional patterns thereby freeing them to experience life and relationships in a more healthy manner.

My Expectations
What I ask of my clients
- Invest in the process. Therapy is only as good as the work you put into it. It’s tough and can be arduous, but the rewards are exponential.
- Be realistic in your expectations. Therapy is not a magic wand. Though each client is different, on average therapy can last anywhere from three months to over a year. Be prepared to devote some time to your journey.

- Above all else, I am for you. No matter where you’ve come from or what you’ve been through, my desire is to care for you well, to help you grow, and to cheer you on as you navigate through life’s trials.
- I will respect your time and your finances. I know you are paying a lot of money to do this work. I will be prompt and will do everything in my power to ensure you get the maximum benefits and reach your goals as quickly as possible.
- I will do my homework. In addition to our session I will spend time researching articles and psychological material to further enhance our time together.
